The paintings of Persis Clayton Weirs are just awesome! She is fast becoming one of my favorite wildlife artists.
In 2006 she painted this fine rendition called “Fruits of the Red Pine II”. Check out the rich colors – the green hues in the background highlighting the detailed pine branch with sap covered pine cones! If you’re decorating in a rustic, country or pinecone theme you’ve got to add this to your addition! Picture it hanging in any room of your choice – the den, family room, or office.
The inner image measures 4.5” by 6.75”. The outside frame measures 10 3/8" by 12 3/8". This is a very nice size for accenting larger artwork, or placing on walls where you just don't have a lot of space. Even the bathroom would be great – you’ll definitely want viewers to see it up close!
The piece features a double matting – a white inner layer overlaid by a dark gray outer mat. The wood frame is 1.5” wide – a light cherry finish with nice moulding to add depth. The colors of the frame blend wonderfully with the image making this piece a classic! A simple key-hole on the back of the frame allows it to hang flush on an wall.
