For the rustic décor lover, this is a beautiful piece! 

Hand crafted in the classic Adirondack style this mirror is made from real twigs and birch bark.  Measuring approximately 22.5” wide by 30.5” tall it can be hung vertically or horizontally on any wall.  The internal dimensions of the mirror measure 12.75” by 20.5”.   The piece is approximately 1.25” thick.

Construction begins with gluing the mirror pane directly to a solid backer board.  An thin wood under frame is then mounted to surround the mirror and give it depth.  The birch pieces are then glued around the frame, with the grain properly oriented to run parallel to the edges of the mirror.  Finally the piece is finished with various twig pieces nailed on – the outer frame is built up with 3 widths of long twigs, with shorter alternating pieces. 

mounted in the middle.  Long twigs are mounted around the entire perimeter of the frame so that it’s completely covered.  A semi-gloss protective clear-coat is applied to protect the bark and twigs.
